Services for Minnie Lee Oakley, 79, of Etoile, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Rick Deward officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery in Huntington.
Mrs. Oakley was born February 28, 1938 in Humble, Texas, the daughter of the late Jessie (Snyder) and Glennie Fussell and adoptive parents, Mamie (Boney) and William Fussell. She passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Oakley was born February 28, 1938 in Humble, Texas, the daughter of the late Jessie (Snyder) and Glennie Fussell and adoptive parents, Mamie (Boney) and William Fussell. She passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Oakley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved nature and all animals. She loved to travel and to see the beauty of God's work. She was a member of Nacogdoches Church of God and was a heavenly angel on earth.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Lisa Oakley; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Michael Lowery, Vevian and Donald Ray Barrow and Bertha Lee and Dave Myers; grandchildren, Ruben Oakley, Carol Oakley, Donna Jasek, Donald Ray Barrow, Jr., Douglas Coy Corbello, Jr., Amy Lynn Corbello, and Mandy Hall; 13 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Eddy Postell; sister, Janie Winslow; a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members; and special friends, Gary Matthews, Tommy Blake, Charlie Matthews, The Russell Family, Travis Pinkston, Angelina and Juan San Juan, The Ellingtons, and many other close friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Oakley was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Waldo Warren Oakley.
Pallbearers will be Gary Matthews, Charlie Matthews, Scott Russell, Donald Ray Barrow, Jr., Travis Pinkston, Andrew Graham, Bo Bryan and John Meador.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
