Services for Floyd Milligan, 91, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Willie Thornhill officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Milligan, the son of the late Azora (Daily) and Clifford Milligan, was born July 26, 1921 in Rayne, Louisiana and passed away October 6, 2012 in a local hospice facility.

Mr. Milligan, the son of the late Azora (Daily) and Clifford Milligan, was born July 26, 1921 in Rayne, Louisiana and passed away October 6, 2012 in a local hospice facility.
Mr. Milligan enjoyed fishing and gardening. He had worked in sales. He served his country in the United States Army for six years during World War II and earned the rank of Sergeant. His service was in the South Pacific and he also was a POW. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Milligan loved his family with all his heart.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Donna Milligan, Howard and Gae Milligan, all of Lufkin; son, Lee Milligan of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Donnie Stephens and Linda and David Davis, all of Lufkin; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Milligan; daughter, Beverly Skelton in 1999; brothers, Tillman Milligan, Howard J. Milligan, Emmit Milligan, Robert Milligan; sisters, Mitchie Green, Evelyn Laughlin, Cyntha Breaux, Clora Hampton; and granddaughters, Jennifer Tillar and Christy Brown.
We would like to say a special thank you to Hospice in the Pines for the excellent care they gave to our dad. We would also like to than Dr. V. Samuel, Dr. B. Reddy, and Dr. J. Capellan for their care of our dad.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Brown, Timothy Milligan, Scott Milligan, Jonathan Conner and Seth Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the V. F. W.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
